Product Overview
The GUSHI METALPLUS™ Diamond Edge Cut Off Wheel for Metal is a vacuum-brazed diamond blade that replaces thin bonded abrasive cut-off discs for cutting steel and iron. A single blade delivers 5,000 or more cuts with no blade changes — roughly 130 times the life of a bonded cut-off wheel — while the perforated steel core cools quickly under intensive use and the solid steel wheel body virtually eliminates the shatter risk of abrasive discs. Available in 12 diameters from 2″ (50mm) to 14″ (350mm) as the GSMC series, it is manufactured by Huzhou Gu’s Imp. & Exp. Co., Ltd. (founded 2004, ISO 9001:2015, CE and EN13236 certified) with an OEM MOQ of 500 pieces.
The key engineering difference is how the wheel cuts. A bonded abrasive disc wears itself away, shrinking in diameter and losing cutting depth as it grinds; the METALPLUS blade instead carries vacuum-brazed diamond grit brazed onto a perforated alloy steel core. The wheel maintains its original diameter through the entire life of the blade, so operators keep full reach, depth and control from the first cut to the last — with a lower cost per cut than thin bonded wheels on production work.
The perforated steel core is the thermal management system. Each pass pulls air through the holes, carrying heat away from the cutting edge and keeping the diamond layer cool during intensive dry cutting. Combined with reduced sparks and no odor, this makes the GSMC series a strong choice for metal fabrication shops, steel erectors, demolition crews and rebar workers who cut steel all day.
For distributors, the METALPLUS metal cutting wheel is a high-retention SKU: customers reorder because the blade outlasts boxes of abrasive discs and stops job-site downtime. GUSHI supports it with OEM branding, custom packaging and segment bonds tuned to local metalworking markets.

How the Diamond Metal Cutting Wheel Works
1. Vacuum-Brazed Diamond Edge Instead of Wearing Abrasive
A bonded abrasive wheel cuts by grinding itself away — thousands of loose grains erode the steel and the disc gets smaller with every cut. The METALPLUS blade uses a different principle: a single layer of industrial diamond grit is brazed onto the steel core at high temperature in a vacuum furnace, forming a metallurgical bond that holds each grit firmly until it is fully exhausted. The wheel never shrinks and never loses cutting depth, which is why it delivers 5,000+ cuts with no blade changes.
2. Perforated Core Keeps the Edge Cool
Heat is the enemy of diamond cutting — above the working temperature the brazed edge degrades. The perforated steel core acts as a built-in cooling system: as the wheel spins, air is pulled through the holes, flushing heat away from the cutting edge. This is what makes intensive dry cutting of steel practical all day without water and without burning the blade.
3. Solid Steel Body Removes the Shatter Risk
Thin bonded discs can crack, shatter and eject fragments at high speed. The METALPLUS wheel is a solid steel body with a brazed diamond rim — there is no brittle resin matrix to fail. Wheel breakage is effectively eliminated, which is why steel fabricators choose it for safety-critical production environments.
Key Features Explained
5,000+ Cuts Per Blade — 130x the Life of Bonded Wheels
The headline number comes from real metalworking use: a METALPLUS blade makes 5,000 or more cuts through rebar, angle iron, bar and sheet before the diamond edge is spent, versus a typical 30–60 cuts for a thin bonded disc of the same size. On a busy fab shop floor, that is hundreds of blade changes saved per month.
Original Diameter, Full Life
Because the steel core does not wear, the blade keeps its original diameter from the first cut to the last. Operators retain full reach and cutting depth, so a 5″ wheel keeps cutting as deep as a 5″ wheel — bonded discs lose depth as they shrink, forcing shallower cuts and slower work as they age.
Perforated Steel Core Cooling
The holes in the core are not decorative: they pull cooling air through the blade on every revolution, reducing heat build-up and ensuring quick cooling — perfect for intensive, continuous cutting sessions on production steel work.
Breakage Eliminated
The solid steel wheel body greatly reduces the risk of breakage compared with resin-bonded discs, which can shatter when dropped, pinched or overloaded. Fewer incidents means less downtime, lower tool cost and a safer shop.
Cleaner Work Station
The diamond edge generates reduced sparks and no odor, and because the wheel does not wear down into dust, it produces far fewer airborne particles than bonded abrasives — a cleaner work station and less respiratory exposure for operators.
